World Teachers’ Day – Friday 30 October 2026
This Friday, we join schools across Australia in celebrating World Teachers’ Day and thanking our wonderful teachers and dedicated relief teachers for the care, commitment and enthusiasm they bring to their work every day.
At Craigburn, we are fortunate to have a team of educators who put so much into supporting our students’ learning, wellbeing and growth. From planning engaging learning experiences to offering encouragement, celebrating progress and helping children navigate challenges, their work makes a lasting difference.
Our teachers bring our values of Community, Courage and Compassion to life, helping students feel welcome, connected and confident to learn. We also appreciate the flexibility and care our relief teachers bring, providing continuity and support for our students and colleagues.
We encourage students and families to take a moment this week to show their appreciation. A kind word, a handwritten card or a simple thank you can mean so much.
You can also recognise a teacher through the Department for Education’s ThankED initiative by sharing a message about the difference they have made for your child or family. Share your message of thanks through ThankED
To all our Craigburn teachers and relief teachers, thank you for everything you do for our students and school community.
Gala Day – huge success
Gala Day was a wonderful celebration of student creativity, teamwork and enterprise, with 39 student-led market stalls bringing plenty of smiles, laughter and community spirit to Craigburn. Our enterprising students raised an incredible $2,365.20! Thank you to our students, staff and families for making the day such a success. Click here for Gala Day details and photos from the day.

A friendly reminder about our staff car park
Our car park has very limited spaces, which are needed by school and OSHC staff. Families attending OSHC may use the car park for drop-off and pick-up before and after school. However, please do not use it to park when dropping off or collecting children for the regular school day.
For everyone’s safety, please use the pedestrian paths and keep children out of the car park wherever possible. Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our school community safe.
