Sapsasa Athletics Try Outs
Over the coming weeks trials will be held during school hours for students to participate in the Sapsasa Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 25th March. A team will be selected from the trials to represent Craigburn at this event at SA Athletics Stadium, Mile End. Events include: 100m, 200m, 800, high jump, long jump, discus and shot put.
All Yr 5/6 students and Yr 4 students born in 2016, will take part in PE lessons and an athletics afternoon where times and distance will be recorded. From this a team will be selected. This day will be held on Tuesday 3rd March.
Sports Day Sprint Run Offs
Preparations have begun leading up to Sports Day on Friday 27th March. In the afternoon of Sports Day, we will hold our championship sprints and relay events where the fastest sprinters in each year level compete against each other for points for their house team.
To select these runners, we will be holding sprint run offs on Tuesday 3rd March for all students in Year 2 – 6. Students need to wear appropriate shoes for running on this day. There will be an opportunity for students to run off at another time if they are away on this day.
